This is my scavenger hunt blog for what I have done so far.
My team devided the project by pages, we each took one.
So far I have found:
The names of three matmaking websites that are not eHarmony.com
A web page featuring Andrew Fry as a panelist for Digital Hollywood. And a few other people on the panel.
A home valued between 200k and 300k with 3 bedrooms in University Place from Zillow and Redfin.
Finally three general serch engines that are not Google, Yahoo, or Bing.

HTML
The HTML page assignment seems slightly outdated. Some tags are grandfathered into standard guidelines so they can be read by the browser. I started using html in the mid 90's to create random free pages for various reasons. One was based around "how to hack chat rooms." I've personally witnessed the evolution of the language. Recent advances have made the styling attributes of a web site almost endless. Web sites are far more complex and less constrained than they used to be. They will continue to become simpler and more complex in design as time goes by.

The differences and similarities between email and snail mail.
The differences and similarities between email and snail mail.
Differences
Similarities
Differences
- Email is electronic and near instant. It doesn't require a physical person to deliver the message, and doesn't have a long wait time. Snail mail takes a while.
- Email is commonly free and doesn't require a stamp like snail mail. Unless you pay for email, but who does that (IT'S FREE!!!).
Similarities
- Even though snail mail is delivered by a person, it is handled by the USPS. Similar to how an email server sends the mail from the sender to the recipient.
- They both are ways people can communicate with each other.
- Both require a mailing address.
- You get crap in the mail all the time (ie. junk mail, or spam. Advertisements!).
- Both are out dated. People don't mail paper letters as much as in the past. People also don't email as much as when it was new. There are much easier ways of communicating (ie. text, facebook, skype.
- Both can be used against you by the federal government.
- They both can be methods of sending harmful messages. Example: Email can send viruses which are harmful to computers and the people that have to pay for them to get fixed. Snail mail can send things like anthrax, or other biologically harmful substances.

Soooo.... What do I want to get out of this class?
Essentially I took this class because I needed a three credit course. Additionally, I took this course because I thought it would be a could class to keep me up to date with current technologies. My younger nephews always bring me cool stuff they find online, whether it be some viral video, or some new trick to make everyday online activities much easier. They seem to know whats "in," which is somewhat funny because I'm a CSS major.
